The spikes are my least favorite thing about the saw. The positioning and the spike itself are garbage. Looking forward to an upgrade.

Mine didn’t have an AV issue either so I doubt that caused the boot issue. I took my old all a part like you did in the earlier picture...

Actually last was the 6l80/6l90. They could make a functional valve body. It was the torque converters that would grenade.

A sharp tap with a brass hammer works as well as anything.
