When I see politicians of any ilk put forward proposals like this my first thought is always "Follow the money". You can bet somewhere there is someone pushing for this who has a financial interest in banning them. Whether they be a manufacturer of battery powered crap or mining interests there...

It's not being chicken at all. Most of us have seen what can go wrong in an instant, and not having the confidence in your saws ability to stay running or deliver full power right when you need it the most is extremely daunting.
