    Anyone from Oregon®️ reading?

A few years ago I bought a bunch of Oregon semiskip square ground and it was all exactly like yours. I kind of just assumed all Oregon square is like that and required sharpening before use. The cutters were very inconsistent and it seemed like their grinding wheel was way out of shape.

Flap Wheels for Mower Blade Sharpening

The 3m cubitron 2 flap wheel seam to last the longest and they bite well all the way down to the last of the flaps. They’ll make quick work and they leave a good finish.

    Chisel bit CBN

I was able to sharpen up one chain with the new profile and give it a test run. The chain cut great. The 150 grit almost seems to grind better than the 100grit did. They matched the profile I wanted perfectly. I’m able to get more forward lean on the side plate without making the top plate razor...

My custom CBN wheel arrived today. I haven’t tried it yet but it looks very accurate to what I requested. I’ll hopefully get to try it out this weekend and report back on how it works.

    Undaunted manufacturing

I look forward to seeing the videos. I’m a fan of modifying a stock muffler like a lot of guys here but I also love seeing new products and it looks like someone put some time into these. Have you done a weight comparison of these to stock?

    Any nearby Square grinders?

This is the first time I’ve read an explanation of a progressive guide that made sense to me. I even bought one a while back but didn’t really understand the strategy of it. I gave it away because it was awkward to hold and fit poorly onto some chains.

    Any nearby Square grinders?

Bought it a few years ago from Laona Machine. It’s a real time saver.

    Any nearby Square grinders?

That works for me. I’ve got a raker grinder also so I can set them wherever you’d like too. For felling and limbing I’ve set them at the same depth as the stihl file guide and it works out pretty well.

    Any nearby Square grinders?

I’m in north central wi. I’ve got a Simington. I don’t want to get into the sharpening business but I could sharpen a few chains for you if you would be able to wait a week or two for me to get the time.

    Chisel bit CBN

Did you get a chance to try it out? I forgot to mention that they switched from 100grit on the earlier wheels to 150grit on the newer ones. My original is 100 grit but I ordered the custom one with 150. The 100 is plenty aggressive enough so I would guess that the 150 would still cut good but...

    Chisel bit CBN

I’m still waiting for it to get done. It’s been about 3 weeks. It sounds like the price will be near the same as the one they sell.

    Chisel bit CBN

I’ve got one also. I’ve had it for about a year and a half. Pros: Very good quality abrasive No dressing needed Showing no signs of getting worn so far Great customer service (Dan is great to talk to) Cons: The shape they sell works well but it’s...

    Oilier adjustment for Lite Bars

I’ve found the same issues with the stihl es lite bars. I didn’t realize what was going on until I bought a sugi hara bar and had more oil than I needed. The sugi hara has a significantly larger hole. Probably double the area.

PAST 2025 Northern Wisconsin GTG September 20th

Thanks everyone for letting me come rip the tarp and break the wheelbarrow handle. All joking aside I’m really grateful to be a part of this group.
