I've been working on saws for a little over a year now, inspired by mastermind and treemonkey videos on youtube. I've ported 7 or 8 saws so far and have noticed twice now with Hyway big bores, the nikasil plating is very thin. I have a friend who likes big bores in his saws and this is the first...
What do you guys use for shop vacs? I'm going to set up a little spot for doing port work and need a good shop vac overall. I was looking at the 5 gallon rigid at home depot, but wondered if I should go bigger
How do you guys keep your shops organized. I have crap everywhere and need some ideas before my brain sizzles and pops looking at this mess lol. Thanks
I have a 162 that mechanically is in great shape. I'd like to get it powder coated. I have been cross referencing bearings and seals, it looks like the 262, 372, 372...bearings and seals are a match. Does anyone know for sure if that's the case. Thanks.
As soon as I finish up the other projects I have going on I'm going to pull the jug and get the numbers. Doing a 371xp right now I'm pretty excited about, a 55 and another 036.
Mine is running really well but only has a few tanks through it. After I finish the 3 projects I have going on Husqvarna 55, 371xp, and stihl 036 I'm going to pull the jug and get the numbers off it and go from there.
I'm not expecting much longevity out of it but ya never know. I'm saving up for a 3120xp which will be my milling saw.
Interesting. I read some about freeporting but your explanation makes more sense to me. Thank you.
