    Stihl 462 hard to start

Not me. 45:1 H1R Belray. It's 2-4 pulls cold, 99% of the time it's 3. I don't recall it ever taking more than 2 to start hot, and 99% of the time it's 1. As soon as I hear it getting low on gas I shut it down and fill it.

Chunking saw... before it hits the ground

I've never had much problem chunking with a 261 personally...but if you don't like it I get it. The only reason I trade my 14" climbing bar for my 18" 261 for chunking is because it's faster. Full bar in Oak on my 355t just takes a bit too long for my liking. Especially when I have a tool...

Whats on the Grill or Smoker?

I also have a Thermapen and the original Smoke 2 channel. Had the smoke for 5 years and I've changed the battery once. I smoke every other weekend at least sometimes more. They're great units. I want one of the newer 4 channel ones, but mine just keeps on working.

    Boat fuel hook up

I know there are some serious boat guys in here, so they probably have you covered, however, I had an OLD ranger boat for a few years. Hull was a 77, outboard was a 79 Johnson 70 horse. I had a somewhat similar problem in that it would run on 2 cylinders in a seemingly random manner. At first...

What oil is best? and what ratio?

Switched from Stihl Ultra to Belray H1R just to try something different and hopefully better. I'v heard that it doesn't burn well in stock saws and will make a mess....well, after about 2 gallons of the stuff at about 45:1/40:1, I took a look at he exhaust, and this is what I found. This is a...

    De-twist

Can't blame them there. Nothing like putting millions into R&D just to have China buy 1 saw, copy it, and sell it at discount prices and ignorant consumers eat it up.

Why can’t I buy a stihl ax15p axe in the USA?

This is not uncommon at all in multi-national companies. Honda for example....early in their introduction to the American market got the stigma of being cheap budget cars. When they wanted to start putting out more 'luxury' or non-budget minded cars, they had a difficult time selling. So they...

Why can’t I buy a stihl ax15p axe in the USA?

Buy a Fiskar, some stencils, and some orange spray paint?

    Smokers

They were great...back in the day. IMO they're pretty easy to beat now-days.

    Smokers

If you want longer burn times, which the Brinkman smokers are definitely NOT known for, get you a Weber Smokey Mountain. With temps in the 70's, I can get burn times up to 18 hours with a full load of charcoal. Depends on the wind and other factors, but 12 hours is easy, 16 hours without much...

    Odd 462 MT Problem

idk, the vibrations sent through the saw from hit hitting the wood could jostle a mechanical issue back to normal. Not saying that's the issue here, but I could see it.

    Pulling rope

Knot will weaken any material. Free...give it a shot.

    Pulling rope

MBS 6000lbs or WLL 6000lbs? Also...why? A good 5/8" rope is rated WAY over that, doesn't really cost that much, redirects way better, and will probably last longer. Piece of mind is worth quite a bit too. No way would I be using it to pull trees...
