Has anyone ever tried welding up scoring on a piston and tried machining it? I know the material is pretty thin for the amount of heat saturation but maybe it's another option?

I finally got around to running it last weekend and here are my thoughts..
1. Seemed very lackluster for the first tank. Was not impressed. Realized it was running a hair too rich.
2. By the end of the second tank it stated to really wake up. Tweaked the carb a little more.

I let y'all down. The weather was junk yesterday and I was pressed for time. Also, it turns out that the crank bearings are junk so I don't really have anything positive to report other than I finally fixed a crank seal (thanks Genius) on an 026 that I've never run... I see why so many like...
Being that I mix a couple gallons at a time, I was planning to run it a little fat instead of actually mixing it fatter for the extra oiling. That way I don't have 2 gallons of 32:1 to share with all my other saws.
