'69 Bronco barn find. Yanked the 302, 3 speed toploader, and Dana 20 transfer case and will rebuild them all. Still need to remove the Dana 30; that will get freshened up, too.

More wrenching on Project Brownie. New 2/0 battery cables with military terminals. New battery boxes too. Got rid of the roof spoiler. New power steering pump and lines.

Removed the 24" OEM barrel on the Remington 700 .308 and replaced with a RemAge 22" heavy barrel - MTU profile - made by Faxon. Getting the barrel off was tough; had to use heat and a cheater bar on my action wrench. Setting the headspace was a bit tricky and time consuming. Otherwise, it was...

MDT Field Stock showed up for my Remington 700 in .308. Unfortunately, the OD green ones were backordered so I just got a black one. And picked up a can of this stuff. Lays down really nice. Put two coats on it, and then did the stock swap.

Well, not really on the bench, but on the fish cleaning station... Caught at Padre Island National Seashore a few days ago. Almost made up for the excruciating pain I felt the next day after stepping on a big stingray!

6 point (missing brow tines) on the stainless butcher "bench." 60 yard shot with a Savage 220 slug gun. He managed to make it 80 yards before crumpling from a double lung shot.

Mystery solved. @heimannm identified it on AS; it's a bar clamp from a Comet diesel, and I had three Comets when I was living in Italy, all sourced from Sweden. If I recall correctly, one of the saws came with a spare clamp so I kept it in case I ended up with a Comet that was missing the clamp.

Doing some rearranging in the garage and came across this clamp; it was with some old chainsaw tools from when I was living in Europe. Anyone know what it's used for?

Glad I pulled the belly pans, because when I got under the machine to look around a bit, I noticed that the crossmember wasn't bolted to the roller frame on the right side like it's supposed to be; it was welded. *s-worde. And that's the side that needs to come apart to replace the final drive. So...
