They don't seem to really bother anything at 0.020" with a 45° angle to the pop up.

I deal with mostly 85+cc saws and If it's fast with a short bar then it's fast with a long bar. A 20" can be much harder for the saw...

Those saws endured much more operator abuse without breaking down than the current stuff though! ;)
