A logger who is always looking to make my saws a second or two faster. Production is key when that's how you make your money!

Clutch side crank bearing went. Saw didn't completely blow up, it still ran just very rough with a lot of vibration. I caught it just in time so end result was minimal damage. Piston has some scoring but cylinder is clean. The bearing did not actually fall apart, kinda weird and hard to explain...

So I recently purchased a 7900, new, and go figure it blew up. I know there is someone on this site who builds dolmars so I'm looking to get in touch with them and see if I could send out my saw, get it repaired and ported/modded. Get in touch with me and I'll provide all the info you need. Thanks

You're right about working with family and logging together! My father and I butt heads, sometimes more often than not. But I'd have to agree that logging together has definitely brought us closer together. I don't think I could do it with any one else!

Nope, it's surely a 379.. The 379 was available with a long nose or a short nose. This is a 379 short nose. There are actually quite a few differences between the 378 and 379 short nose. Even though they look similar to most they are not the same. One example is the 378 has a fiberglass hood...

Well now you have! It helps keep the front end down pulling steep grades with a hitch. It also helps to keep more track on the ground too. It works excellent, I think it was a great idea having it drive from the front..

I've had a few 7900's, have heard from quite a few people the stock 7910 doesn't run like a stock 7900. It's not the coil that bothers me, my 7900 had a limiting coil too. I also understand that the 7910 has some fancy plugged up muffler as well.. I know I could change the coil and the muffler...
