Late ‘50s, classmate lived on farm NE corner of Telegraph & Lindburg. ( now a shopping center no doubt.). Us adolescent boys roamed freely over the Jefferson Barracks grounds. Armed with Daisy BB guns and sharp knives.
Fellow cam by to look at the 261c. Liked it so much he took it home. 😉
Also expressed an interest in the Farmertec 066 I had sitting there. He took a shot at starting it and he got it running. 🥳🥳🥳
First time for everything. 😜
I thanked him for his effort with a new loop for the 261. 👌
I suddenly want to go down to the local Waffle House and feed my face. 😜
Mo Am Water/SJFD tested the fire hydrants some ten or more weeks ago. The nasty taste hasn’t cleared up yet. 🤬
I can’t go to Quick Trip all the time so I’m going to get several gallons of distilled to make coffee. 🤞
Been across the river quite a few times on that ferry. It was Dad’s senic (?) route from Chester to South County. Route 3 was the standard trip.
Dad was born in Redbud and grew up in Chester.
Don’t forget to visit the Popey statue at the end of the Mississippi bridge.
