I know there are several great resources in Canada, but I would give a shout out and recommendation to Stump Shot on this forum. He did an excellent job on my 572XP.

Porting cost would be $350 plus parts and return shipping.
Typical port job would involve lathe work to the cylinder and porting, a muffler mod, ignition advance and possibly mods to the carb.
I check over the saw closely when I start work on it so that any potential problems can be addressed/repaired. Last thing anybody wants is a newly ported saw with a crank bearing failure or an air leak etc.

I don’t have any for sale but if you got one and sent it to me I could port it for you.
I’m in Ontario. I know international shipping can be expensive. Just a heads up
I notice you're Ontario, be interested in any recommendations of Husky dealers to turn to.
I have a brother in law south of Toronto, a Stihl man. I get a few bits and pieces scooped up by him and sent down under every now and again, just haven't struck it lucky with a reputable Husky dealer

The husky dealer I use is called “The power garage” they are located in Woodstock. They don’t tend to stock much for saw parts. I usually have to order what I need. They are really nice to deal with and the girl that works the parts counter is awesome and a real sweetheart.

Thanks, that's handy. You are obviously very close to my Brother in Law, he is in Tillsonburg.
    Much appreciated
thanks for the reply on the bearing question, kinda thought I guessed right, as that was only way that had the inner races on symmetrical to the crank, but appreciate the confirmation!
Did you wind up buying that stihl 090 from the stihl 090av??? Post?

I never pursued the saw any further. He stopped replying when I asked for a serial number and part numbers. We all came to the conclusion the guy was a scammer and had stollen the pictures.
