Wowsers. I take it by you saying "was" that you've already got one?

Bugger, I'm pretty sure I have a couple spares at work. Never mind. It'll be worth the spend. They're a rewarding saw to use.

I've got a 288xp as well, I don't use it much now but its an awesome tool. It's like the lovechild of a 266 and a 3120.
2series stuff is my favorite to play with. I like the jonsered 6 series as well, same saws just better thought out.

I don't know the history well enough to say, but they're definitely what I see the most of come thru the shop.

Interesting to ponder... I know very little about the 1xx series... What did they have, 181 comes to mind...but what else in the way of mag case "pro" models? Seems as though there were almost as many choices to choose from in the 2xx series lineup as there were/are in the 3xx series, 242, 254, 257, 262, 266, 268, 272, 281, 288, 2100...Did I miss any?

Think there was a 246, 261, and a 298 as well

The only 1 series stuff I've had is a 162 which seemed to basically be a 61 with a 2 piece ignition, a metal tank handle and metal recoil. Still a nice saw.

Hope it doesn't take longer to put together than it did for me to get it powdered! Lol[emoji23]

Possibly. This time of year I have other interests. Plus I have a couple other saws ahead of it that need less to finish.

Nice project for someone. I'd love one but I've got more project saws than a healthy man should ever have.
