I can see the draw to these older 2-- series.... very easy to work on.
Solid, well built, not over-complicated and functional.
This one is in such good shape I think it will stay all OEM...
Not a NOS new in box, but an extremely clean un-molested saw...
It may end up in the classified section along with a couple others....
I need to finish up a shop build.. run electric 200 ft to it and get rid of some stuff I really don't need.

Picked one of these fella's up a month or so ago for a song. Early 2 piece ignition. Pretty quickly become my fav husky, just plain fun to use.

great saws the AV is lacking a little on my saw but it makes up for it in grunt and power
mine is not the fastest but it has plenty of ass to back it up.

I picked up this 266xp on a trade for a 52cc Chinese saw. It's bone stock and runs good not as fast as my 562 but I'm going to see if porting helps close the gap. I actually prefer running the 266 it starts much easier......View attachment 66981View attachment 66982

Thanks, I love this ol saw. If you decide not to keep the really clean one you picked up, I would be interested.....

What a score! I have one the same, haven't run it for a while as I've been messing around with a lairy 268 and a Chinese 372xp, I miss using it, my favorite of the 3 for sure. Is yours metal or plastic tank/handle?
