I generally run smaller drive rims just to keep “any” saw in the upper RPM range. Nothing worse to me than watching an operator yo-yo a saw dogging and lifting. Most times I have to simply get away from that scene! (I can still hear it, but don’t have to watch)

Pretty much the same here.
Way to much screaming.
But i write it off to her high pressure middle management job. Its eating my poor bride up..
If she would run 1 of my deuce88's once in a while, Im sure there would be less screaming and more moaning..

55cc and unser i want revs 55 to 65 i want revs too but a bit bias towards torque 65 to 85 i want good torque for starting in cut but capable of running and holding 11k in cut. 85 and up is pretty much the same as the 65 to 85 but torque to be even more dominant and still have decent revs. Basically once ported i dont ever want to lose rpm anywhere in the powerband. Sorry if that doesn't make sense.... It does in my head.

I will say I dislike peaky ported builds for work. Just my personal preference.

I'm trying to accumulate some of both. I got some macs for the torque category and now got some huskys trying to get a feel for the high rpm peaky saws. I have a slot filled w/ a porter in April/May to get the 272xp spinning some rpm's. If stumping the P/M 850 is great but when cutting 20"+ rounds I want a "light saber". Hoping we can get the 272xp in the "Light Saber" category but still long lasting/reliable. The torque really shines in the oak/locust around here especially when its been down for a year or so.
