You have heard of wintertime blues but I have wintertime cad! I was looking at my pay-pal receipts over last several years and 90% of my saws are purchased the last week of December! I am trying to find a minty ms440 to add to my 5 other 70cc saws. Looks like I may not make it before the new year. What is the deal to want to buy always in wintertime ?

Easiest way to get it down from 90% is to buy a bunch in the summer. With practice you could get December buying down to 50%! Seems like there are more bargins in the summer. Best way I've found to slow buying is to get a dremel tool and spend your time grinding recent purchases. Good choice on the 440.

I've had paypal almost 10 years now. Started when I was messing with diesel truck stuff. I don't want to know how much has went through there. It would scare me I'm sure.

It is me as well, I only play saws in the winter. I do Bonsai through the growing season, so when my little trees get tucked away for the winter I start getting my saws ready for cutting my really big trees. When I open my saw shed after not being in there for months the excitement is overwhelming! I'm like a kid with a bunch of fun new toys!

I'm the same way, I'm usually busy cutting wood in the spring and fall. Summer is too hot for wood or saws so I tend to work on them in the winter between the seasons.

Thankfully I have no time for saws until late fall and into winter. I would be broke all the time if I had time for s hobby after work the rest of the year.
