I have heard they make a thinner
026 base gasket, most I haven't been able to just delete the base gasket
Without getting the squish to tight.
I know machine work will fix it
But looking for other options

Only takes a minute or so with an exact knife.learnt it in another section here on board and has came in really handy so far.used to buy the .5mm stihl gaskets but that started getting expensive.

The two OEM gaskets are .020 and .040 which are both too thick.

You can use roof flashing (.009) or paper gasket material which is about .010.
