LOLAsk anyone who uses one of these devices how good it is. I love this filing unit. It is about 4-5 pounds of solid steel with one or two brass and plastic bushings all made in Germany.

That guide is NOT made out of "solid steel"!
Die cast aluminum at best, zinc die cast at worst.
Circled, dead giveaway of die cast.
Coloring is oxidized aluminum/zinc, not steel.
There are steel components, true - but that guide is not solid steel.
