Palfinger Tree MEK. Really cool to watch. Makes short work of a removal. I think he’s got about 110’ vertical reach with the grapple/feller buncher and it folds up into itself. Nice tidy package. He’s got some videos of it working (time lapsed) out there

I got a semi-reasonable explanation as to why. I guess it involves maximizing cooling air from the flywheel fan.

I think it's a definite area they can upgrade in the future, husky has used it since 1990 on the majority of there saws, seems they are improving the seal from the filter base to the elbows on most of there newer models also.

To be fair, the V1 was fueled and has whatever residual oil and gas would be left over after dumping. The V2 hasnt been fueled.
