I always break it down to dollars and cents for them.
Spend $7.50 gal for some efree fuel or spend $70 plus on me dealing with it.

$7.50 per gallon for the good stuff? That's on sale. Our cheap chit is $7.50+ per gallon everyday at the pump. The premium stuff gets close to $10.

Makes driving a V-8 Jeep real painful on a fella. :(

I had to come up with something in my redneck brain to hang 60", 48" or 44" chain etc on while waiting to be sharpened. Was getting on my nerves fighting the rams horns out of the boxes they come in.
70" to the top of the bar. The area by the grinder was full and only good for smaller chains.

A dirty little piggy 550XP. I tend to agree with Walt, "giving a dirty saw to be fixed is kind of like not wiping before going to the proctologist."

This one's got a mildly scored piston. Cylinder seems good, though. 2015 year model. Man, this thing did some work. Whoever had this saw ran it like he stole it!

A project I'm doing as a gift to my logger buddy.

Didn't have a 262 or a 357 spare clutch, so we gotta use something else...
560/562 clutch + 262 washer:

Here is one of the reasons why we gotta use a washer (550/560/562 clutch drum has very narrow corner) (the other reason is all them flat hub clutch hubs need to get a bit distance to the drum):

262 mounted with a 560 clutch + 262 washer:

Removed head gasket, sanded squish band, 20th in squish, timings are IN73, TR118, EX 103,5, advanced the timing, HDA-87 carb:

Since I miss a collar, figured out it was time to fix a handle, may not be pretty but a handle is a handle:

044 ready to go home. Found some play in the throttle shaft. I'm pretty sure that's what was causing the tunability issues. New carb and it runs like a champ again.

I don't wanna hear no more Husqvarna loose screw jokes after spending the last couple weeks working on creamsickles. These sonsabiches are just as bad...

Retapped a couple stripped holes to m6 and turned the head down on this one to work with the chain brake pivot.
