Custom strato ports? Those teefs help chew up the smalls that make it past the filter to save the top end?

My little home made mill didn’t have the reach to do the MS660 cylinder. So, I made me a mandrel and did the squish by hand. Worked pretty good! Next time i need to ensure the chip relief in front of the chisel is bigger. Had to stop every 3/4-1 turn.

Nice work Curt, looks excellent.

Thanks man!

Its not perfect, not how I would build a “shop tooling” but it worked remarkably well for what it is. Took about 15 minutes to make; used the worn piston, an old chipped wood chisel and some jb weld. Slot in piston was made with dremel cut off wheel, test fit the chisel piece and ground it to the fit I wanted, mixed up the jb weld, and slobbered it all together. Used a piston ring compressor to set the width of the chisel piece. Let it set up for a few hours and gave it a whirl. I did find a 1/2” drive extension fits perfectly into the con rod pocket in the piston (rotated 45*), tapped the extension in with a hammer and locked it in the vice. Easy day.

Maxed out?
You rang?

My Maxed out unicorn came apart last Sunday. A lot of great findings, like a 5/16” Allen bolt replacing an M5 bolt for the muffler face mount to case. Hole so big, no timesert will fit.

For reference, the bolt in the left is already M6 (not the M5 for 064)

Then, of course, the “Unicorn Jug” he said he wanted to give me because of spite. He didn’t want to give it up for sale.

I’m impressed he used a KS piston in mine. Used, but still KS. I’m sure it’s somehow my fault.

Happy the guy is out of my life. The above saw cost me over $1000 all in. Thank god it’s a hobby and It’s supposed to cost some money. As usual with his builds, he used Junk.

It’s got the special floating coil option as well.

A very tidy 084!
This thing is schmick right throughout, possibly the tidiest 1 I’ve ever seen:)
Yea that looks very clean I would almost consider trading my 064 for one of those but I think part's are even harder to get for the 084.
