GB titanium pro top are always reviewed extremely well. I have a few now, but don't cut enough to comment on long term durability.Been out of the loop for a long time. Largest bar I have is a 32. Who makes a durable 36”? If you have one you want to sell… Send me a message.
ThisI've been hearing good things about the newer Cannon bars. Of course the current Stihl lightweight bars are very good - I have several.
I run them on my Huskies with one of Mike's (@Homelite410) adapters.
Iggesund Forest R2 if You can find one.
Heavy, but good stiffness and durability.
Most likely not much of an option for You, still though I'd mention it.
Are You satisfied with Yours?I have one of those.
Yes but it takes more power to pull. Doesn’t cut as fast. If you are willing to accept those trade offs for a more durable chain then go for it. I run 32” and 42” full comp .404 on mine. Just normal Oregon powermatch bars. Full comp .404 is almost the same distance between cutters as 3/8 full skip. The 32” with .404 is real nice balanced to the saw weight wise and power wise. I just put a .404 tip on a 3/8 bar I already had.... it just has to be .063 gauge and you need 95-96DL. I can switch it back to 3/8 any time I want. The 42” is kind of a rediculous size that I only use on the mill or something really huge rarely. Prefer the 32-36” size. If you want to run 3/8... I found a 36” 3/8 with semi skip is nicely matched to the saw. I like semi skip on a long bar in 3/8, it’s 75CK from Oregon I believe. Comes square but you can round file it.And I’ve read 404 holds an edge longer?
I was thinking the sameWe must have different ideas of what constitutes "almost the same".
From top is:
3/8 full comp
.404 full comp
3/8 full skip

To my eye, two of them are "almost the same" but it's not what you posted.
@Definitive Dave is a Cannon dealer.
