If you’re asking for a 361 conversion,
The 361 carb has a different choke plate lever linkage (the HD50 does as well), the bore/Venturi is much smaller and the impulse comes in through the face of the carb and not through a nipple on the pump plate. Was thinking of the MS361 carb for hot 026’s but never found the time to play yet.
I’ve seen various different info about the 361 vs 044 boot. IIRC, the inlet of the 361 boot is the same or bigger than the 044, but the outlet smaller.
I’ll know within a month when I tear a 361 apart for porting.
If the boot is acceptable, the pump plate should be able to be swapped and the impulse drilled through the face to accommodate the stock 361 boot entry.
The only one I’ve done with the 044 carb conversion was done by JMS. The fab work was pretty good and were the ports. The machine work sucked balls as usual, but it helped me find a great recipe out of necessity.
