View attachment 104218 I also got a cheap AM muffler and cut a front exit in it. I would not recommend this for normal cutting. It is very loud and can catch shot on fire, but for playing in small wood it's great.
You need the front kick stand Dave! I bet that sucker is loud. Braaaaaaaaap!

Oh by the way, these saws will oil just about any size bar you put on it. Mine will oil a 42" plenty and my oiler isn't turned up all the way. Much better than a 660
I noticed in the little run time. Holy crap oil was running. Even in my 0 deg garage

That's cool good job welding on thin stuff. Mine would look like a booger factory. So muff needs to be cut in half?
It doesn’t “need” to be cut in 1/2, but it does make it much easier to remove the inner horn and then modify the muffler for your taste

The new large size make a good replacement for the factory deflector?

Ahh. Well be back. Time to just split it and see.
Mine was cut open on top of the muffler just behind where the muffler is joined together. Cut large enough to get the tube out then welded back up. Nice thing about that is that is that the welds are hidden by the top cover
