To buy or not to buy.......

Ok so i got a lead on a husky 359 for sale. Not sure it's worth buying since i would not keep it. Its in good cosmetic shape and felt like it had good compression. Didnt remove muffler or ck compression but seems to be in good working condition. Guy said he would take 215 with b/c. I know the saw is well worth that but could i make enough on it to make it worth my while to buy it? I dont want to buy it for 215 and sell for only 250.

they sell for 350 here so buy it and put it on ebay.

Sold one not long ago for $325. It was clean and all OEM.

I saw a 357 here lately locally. Asking $150, I was second in line, but it was pretty well sold in less than an hour! I'd check into it!

I paid $200 for my first one a couple years ago. Decent shape, sent it off to the q-tip legged cattle baron in TN to be ported. It's now my favorite saw to run. I bought a practically new, used once 359 for $250 a couple of months ago. Came with bar, 1 used and 1 new chain, manual and case. It was my best find this year. I think a a clean, running 359 should be worth $300 all day.

Ok you know what the answer is gonna be when you ask it on a chainsaw forum. Hell yes buy it, especially if it's in good cosmetic shape. At 215 I'd offer 200 cash but what he is asking sounds fair. Get it put it in a log fall in love and put it in your pile with the rest of them.

Yeah the cad in me wants to do just that but i have had cad under control and only been buying building selling for a good while now. I have 4-5 main saws and thats it. This one will not replace my 262 so i am probably going pass on this one. If i needed it or if he would take 150 then it would be worth my time. But to buy it and sell for 250-275 just aint worth the hassel.

Dunno if this has been brought up, but the year this 359 was made do mather when it goes to value price.

Far as I've understood sale marked in US is kinda slow, at least has for the last year, this was debated over on AS.

If you can clean it and sell it tomorrow for 300$ it's easy math, if you though will end up to sit with it for awhile before you get 300$ for it just skip it Dave.
