ground down the bar studs on a 9010
so now got the option of D009 bars or turn them clock wise 1/4 turn and have got D033

Already looks like the cat muffler was gutted so is there any point to putting a 5100 muffler on instead?
Runs well but that limiters are still on the carb and as rich as it go’s on the l jet, might knock the limiters off so I can adjust it richer for different weather.

Why would anyone in their right mind trade a Dolmar for a Stihl or Husqvarna? (pun intended)

I know in all honesty though nobody knows what a dolmar is up here. Seems real nice and I actually thought about trying to deal them, but don’t know what that would intale and if I could actually convince people to buy them. Especially now that they say makita on them.

First one I’ve ran across in a fair amount of saws fixed and bought, stihl and husky have a strong hold up here. This dealer got stihl 6-8 years ago all jred and husky before that, now they sell 9 or 10 stihls to 1 of the others.

Part number 181 160 110, can still be bought new, don't know if it's interchangeable.

My 6100 has the easy start.

I looked into changing out the easy start on my 5105 and from my research, I understand the crankshaft is actually different between the two.

I could see that stihl easy starts have a different flywheel/coil or both compared to a regular rewind,different timing due to being pulled over slower than a regular rewind.

Only flywheel and starter assembly differ, cranks are the same (there was however a change to the crank
between 2012 and 2013 but that was pre-easy-start AFAIK)

Its an option to go without easy start: The model designation is PS-5105 CX

I just pull the easy start on my PS-550 the same way I do all my non-easy start saws - works better than pulling it over slowly too.
Will the easy start take damage due to that?
No idea, time will tell.
