Thanks, Saying I do not have permission to view this page or perform this action though.

I've just covered the opening into case with a few layers of aluminium tape and blocked the line into the tank for now, it has a manual oil thumb pump.

Saws runs good, though I had to set the idle higher than I like, I'll complete the repair later, realistically the saw will never get used in anger, but it's always nice to know they are in operational condition.

Has anyone "been there, done that" with swapping a Stihl 039 / 390 piston (or any other 49mm piston for that matter) into a PP380 / 3750 for a bump in compression. It's pristine inside and only pulls 130lbs with .050" factory squish. I am thinking pop up. Squish is almost .040" without a base gasket. I would prefer to not mill the base, intake timing is already at 79° I'm mainly concerned with location / width of ring locating pins on the 039 piston. If not, I'll just order one and find out, but thought I'd check here first. I searched, but had no luck finding pre-existing info about it on here. Any input is welcome. Thanks in advance.

Nice one Steve. I'm currently haggling with a guy over a complete green one and a grey and black one with the end of the crank snapped off on the clutch side.

So I guess I went and did it, or maybe it was forced on me.
Went to pick up a McCinderblock to work on for a good friend. He gave me a Wild Thing.
Has no bar and chain. Sat under one of his friends mobile homes long enough to ruin the bar and chain. Doesnt look like it ran much, hopefully.
Turns over. Maybe one day I'll have a look at it.
I hear these have a semi- cult following as " the little saw that shouldn't".

Anyone have a line on where a guy can procure decals for these saws? I'm looking for the clutch cover decal and the thin one for the air filter cover. Any insider info would be greatly appreciated.
Also interested in a set of inner and outer spikes that are regular profile to replace the goofy factory one. Not sure if there are others from another model that will fit or someone who makes them.

This is the air filter cover one I'm talking about. I have no idea what the one for the Pro 380 says on it.

I'd even settle for a picture of the rear air filter decal for the pro 380 so that I can have some made.

I'm pretty sure the Tim Allen version on that frame was the only model that had an air filter cover decal.

I got Roger getting a pic for that off one I sent him. It was just a yellow decal of some sort. https://chainsawrepair.createaforum.com/

My other 2 here dont have them either.
I'd be so appreciative. Thank you. I would have never believed it'd be so hard to track one down.... even a picture...... but they're nowhere to be found. Thanks again.
