I ran one at the PA GTG and was impressed ... but I'm also impressed with the 462s!!!

Franky, I don't think you could go wrong with either one, both great Hp to weight.
I have 2 462s and my other dealer said, since i have 462s i wont be impressedo_O. but it is amazingly impressive compared to a 362 is what i have heard people saying.

That's my question. Will my first plunge into Stihl ownerdom be a 400i or a 462? Not that My new 562XP doesn't do everything I envision me needing a saw for. It's not like I make money with a chainsaw....
If you have a 562 XP forget the 400 buy the 462

If you have a 562 there really isn’t any sense in getting a 400c/462c. There just so close in capabilities/size that I would sell one to keep the other I guess. I’d be looking at a 500i or 661 to accompany the 562. To me a 50-70-90cc is a perfect saw plan package deal. 60cc in my opinion are too in between…. But they are a good one saw plan for small-midsize firewood cutting use.

Lotsa good thinking here. Giving some though to what I might ‘need’ <cough cough> I’m beginning to believe that a 660 clone (or 395 clone if FT ever releases it) and a 550 MK II will suit my needs. For as little big wood I cut, a clone would be fine. Realistically, the 562 is more than I need 80% of the time, so a 550 and my 16” 135 would get the most use.

But who ever pays attention to this horrible ‘need’ thing...

I don't plan on buying one ,but I did pick one up at my local dealer and was impressed with how light and small it was compared to the other 68cc saws I've handled. Honestly I'm tempted to run one because of the mag piston.
I was not impressed with the 362 as compared to an old 034 super.

I sold my MMWS Ver I to a local tree guy, and that the the MMWS 10 mm 044 are his favorite saws. The 362 V2 runs the same and is over 1/2 lb lighter.

The original 362s (with the old air filter - pre M Tronic) were, IMO, crap!
