Curious as to what everyone likes to shoot and what type of load yours likes.
I have a cva accura v2 think its a 2012bought it new has a thumbhole stock put a leupold ultimateslam on it. Has a blackhorn breech plug and my load is 100 grains of blackhorn 250 grain hornady ml sst sabot winchester shotgun primer (blue box)
Our season opens tommorrow mornin I haven't had any luck this rifle season.Had a bunch of deer in the crosshairs just nothing legal to shoot with the point restrictions we have.
I got sick of the shiny stainless barrel decided to camo it

In PA it's primitive. Flintlock only. Lyman deerstalker 1/48 twist and a cheap black knight sabot round. Peep sights. Shock y'all they will.

Sweet combo Gunner. Had a v2 a few years ago with black horn breech plug too. Shot 110gr with Barnes 250 grain tz or tmz.

Now I shoot a smokeless muzzleloader. I won't look back.

Trying to make time to finish wheels and tongue.

I have a cvs also it's older now but used 209 primers I shot tighter groups with 80 grain of powder pyrodex powder not the pellets hornady slug with the green sabot

I dont even remember the powder load I was using. But I could do 90yd neck shots all day. Using powerbelt 50cal bullets.

Havent had to use the muzzy in years.

Anyone try and using the 777? Like to switch to that if worth a hoot.

777 is better than black powder or pyrodex. But blackhorn 209 is where it's at. Burns clean and consistent

I think they came into vogue during the Vietnam war.
