I'm planning to have a go at this square file thing and thought it would be great to have a reference cutter to inspect and learn from. I've also noticed Bailey's lists chains sold "per drive link".

A little light went on in my head.

If I order a single drive link will I get myself a single cutter as well? If so, I'll just tack it on my next order.

IIWM, I'd order a couple links from loggerchain.com.

Nice people that care.

It's actually pretty easy to get started if you watch Mike Lee's (and others) you tube videos first. Look at the video and pics in the chain section here. Get yourself a double bevel file and dig in. That's how I got started

Since I'm the 'consistency' banana in the bunch, I'd order a few links of Oregon (I'm not racing) to match up to my Simington grinder.

Thanks, gents.

I'll check out loggerchain as soon as break time rolls around.

Huskihl, you got a link to one of Mike's vids? Can't remember running across one yet in my browsing here. Suppose I need to talk to my boss about making our lunch breaks a bit longer....
