Simple 026 air filter mod.

So I had a nos metal mess filter, only problem was the nuts that hold it on we're the short ones on left I need old long style on right

So I took filters apart filed and sanded until they came out snug.


And now I can slide the older style into new filter for the old style 026's


Worked great even the cover grabs right (not just one side so the knob is crooked)
Now if you do this and take your filter off and knock dust off you'll have to watch the barrel nuts don't go flying!!

Cool! Good way to save a filter.
I took a flat file to my screw heads to take the rough burrs off all where the flat head screwdriver fits in.

I may have to do that those were the best I had the others were chewed up bad.
