I’m not much of a welder but it’s solid and you can’t see the back of the seam when it’s mounted.

This is a farmertech one from DD. $10. I had to be careful because even at my lowest settings it would burn through. 5000 stitches later it’s good to go lol. The oem one is too nice to practice on

I can see why these are kind of doggie stock. Not much breathing going on. image.jpg

For the weights and measurements crew the 361 w/20” sugi weighs 3oz more than my 034Super w/20” Stihl ES light. Both empty.

They might be equal now that I gutted all of the garbage in that muffler lol.

Very nice Steve. Did you happen to make any cuts with single vs. Dual port muffs on that treefo6? Just curious if one was better than the other. 1 vs 2. Lol

Tig is a ways off for me have to be happy w my tweco 211i and Miller ac/dc stick.
I guess I could get the tig setup for the 211i I just remembered while typing this that it does lift start tig. HMMMMM can’t do nonferrous but certainly can do muffler mods.

Edit I just ordered up the TIG Kit for it. Time to get that little party started.

You could have used the ac/dc machine as well. Just wouldn’t have lift arc. I have a Miller max star 150 stick and use it for tig. I learned to tig in high school and brazing/soldering wasn’t taught so I’m not very good at it anyway.

Remembered while looking into tig that, that was part of the reason I bought the 211i when I was looking at a new mig machine. 110/220 stick mig tig capability and easily portable. Just no ac on the 211i
Adjustable up and down slope. Just have to use a torch with gas knob. I’m starting out small w this go at tig will look into a foot pedal and possibly a dedicated machine at a later time.

Never did a comparison of the two like Scott and Julian did. Can say both saws run well.

Those 3n1 machines are nice. I’d like to upgrade to a dynasty machine myself.

I cashed out some old savings bonds and Father’s Day present three years ago to get mine. I should have gotten the tig setup shortly after. It was cheaper then. But life happens lol. So far I’m quite impressed with the machine. Almost wish I had gone with the fabricator 252i though, it has much more capability than the 211ias far as process options.

I'd like to try one of these. A friend of mine has a stick welder by the same company that's abused daily and they hold up pretty well.

I considered one of those at the time I purchased this one but the long term reviews at the time pushed me towards this machine, that and thermal arc which made the machine originally is a very sound manufacturer and tweco/victor/ESAB didn’t change anything through the production line as it switched hands In Manufacture.
