I’m in the market for one, haven’t compared anything yet.

They have been out a couple of years now, been pretty bulletproof. The early ones had an issue with the accordion tube collapsing and the straps ripping but they recalled them and got it sorted out in the first year.

The competitors are the Stihl BR800 Magnum, the RedMax EBZ-8550, and the Husqvarna 580 BTS Mark II. I have worked on/tried them all and if I were in the market for a new unit I would be all over it. Standard five year warranty and a lifetime warranty on the ignition module.

Thanks for the insight Joe.

So what's it like having a BRAND NEW blower, asking for a friend. :)
I couldn’t be happier. It’s a beast. Amazing throttle response and it’s comfortable for a big backpack blower. Most larger blowers will wear your forearm out supporting the blower tube from the force of the air. There is hardly any “pull” at WOT.

I have an Echo 580 and I’m pleased with it, although my experience is very limited. @cus_deluxe runs them everyday and swears by both the big redmax and echo
After talking to Custer I went out bought the 580 BFS mark II . It's awesome
