Got bored today after having 5 days off so I went to the farm went as I decided to make some winter decorations View attachment 210512I’m gong to let them dry out a bit before I put them rest of them together and then the wife can decorate them. I cut enough for 5 and I could have cut enough for probably a couple hundred with the amount of wood at the farm right now.

yes I did a board up the back. Trying to use what I have around the house. Wish I was doing houses still as there are lots of scraps during framing

Went crabbing today on southern Vancouver Island, from a pier.
Sad to say we got some Asian green crabs , an invasive species.
Got a few dungeness as well.

That sucks! These asian invasive species are ruining all the North American waterways. The major rivers by us are filled with them damn asian carp.

At least you caught some native crab! :)

@jacob j. yer making me miss Oregon. One of the best times of my life.

So yeah, haven't been totally slacking on the 420's. Since I have two flywheels, I spent some time butchering one of them. This is simply removing the low hanging fruit for six grams of weight savings. Haven't put her on a lathe yet, but I think there's another twenty grams there for a total loss of ten percent in weight. This is mainly for spin up, to make her a bit more lively for limbing. I'm curious to see if I can remove much from the donor piston as well without it exploding...

Its been harvested. You can see the tire tracks from the combine. They only harvest the flower at the top and leave the rest.

I think it depends what the market can do with it. I know a video I watched from Germany they have a machine with 2 heads on it. One head harvested the flower and the bottom chopped the stalks a d left it for a bailer.
