Wiring issues. Emissions issues.
I hate them. They just plain suck to work on.
I'd much rather be working on a real 6.6 duramax.
And to put it in real perspective, I'd rather be working on that pos 3.0 opal v6 the put in the Cadillac Catera. Forcreal.
Here's the timing stuff, in the rear of the engine..

Does that oil pump have a plastic gear? They might as well have made the whole thing out of clay.

Has a plastic tensioner shoe that breaks off and clogs the oil pick up. The gears are metal.

Engineers luv to make things over engineered and complicated , give them a wrench, they wouldn’t have a clue , I deal with them every day in manufacturing,

I am lucky. Most of the vehicles that I owned or worked on, when I opened the hood, I could see the engine. Now-a-days it takes a day of disassembly to find the engine.

Never had to work on mine much

But I noticed the engine bay is pretty clean

My sons prelude was a pain to engine swap and the Corolla was easy


My buddy who has a mech shop says Toyotas are made to be worked on and Hondas aren’t.

Most of my wrench turning was on straight axle stuff when I was young
