How old? Much more about the history?
So that's a smaller body than the 6400 then?
So what you were trying to say is it needs to have a non rev limiter coil ? or you are talking about setting it up in the wood which would hit the limiter if you revved the saw without load at WOT. I guess that would be alright for me if there was no such thing as limbing and brushing.
Square chisel would help that situation considerable but I don't run it.
These beat up hands are pretty sensitive.

I heard they are smooth saws?
It's the perfect saw for what Im going to be doing. And that's hitting the ground running.

What are you wanting? PM if you prefer?

Maybe you want to sell 'locally'?

I think I've found the way to tune these now Matt. This is how I did this saw......I seated the H screw, and backed it out 1.25 turns. That's it.

Ok thanks. It's a minty saw.
Looking on my phone on this thread,, It appeared older. Couldn't see it that well.
Must of been that ratty looking bar with the paint off of it. I don't have to buy that do I? Because that chit don't fly in London. J/k
Not sure how to get money to you?
I had a PP at one point to deal with Mike.
Doubt I would no how to get into it and I had to wait for 5 biz days a believe and at one time it ended up about 8 days. evidently I was elegable for instant transactions as I had 2 bank accounts but it wouldn't let me add the second. Anyway that was then.
Do they still make at model?

That's ok Randy...I will get it next time it falls back into your lap...
When that mofo gives you a hard luck story.
    Haha. [Just kidding ya Jay]

Send it to me and I will put the final touches on it which will really complement your work ...orrr it can sit on a shelf.

Great job with the saw. It would have been perfect.

On a side note... Why did it not start first pull the second time on the video?

Was it just that you didn't have it on the on position? Or did you choke it off?

    Or...

I think the low side was a little too fat.

lol..ok...yes I heard you say that more than probably it was a little fat. Wow! "You may be a lover but you ain't no dancer" Did it ever occur to you at any point that just maybe you may be causing the discharge? Just razzing ya. No, I get that you improved the jet. Saw was ripping to heck.

I honestly would not have known that engine behaviour could be caused by being a little fat so our definition of "A little fat" are quite different.
We may spin on the same axis but we are on opposite poles. I knew it wasn't a drip drown as it fired perfect the first time.
I was a bit confused and very curious.

I think I only posted two videos and one was me falling an almost 6' cottonwood on an island in the Fraser River (Indian reservation) I had the hoe operator film it on a spur of the moment after I cut the undercut. Third tree of the day and my second day on the job. First day on the job I blow a top end. Stupid!! Had a dome OEM window 266 piston in my 372 and swapped it out for a AM Looper style (open skirt) that was paper weight. Did I mention stupid!!!
I wanted to try a chamber cut.
Got in a patch of steady 3 1/2 and 4 ft cottonwood that were all leaning. I tied in to about 4 of then really fast and it was tits up.

Anyway had to tell that story before I could finish telling this story.

First tree of the day was a 4 ft yard fir.
I am working my way up as the other two are a 5' & a 5 1/2ft cottonwood.
Just as I am finishing off the 5ft then the saw starts 'running away'
I back of the high?? Nothing working there? T Try the low? The only time I have ever fattened the low and I mean fattened.
It stopped running away. It was random stroking hard. I had to lay good pressure on it to get it to settle in. I'm just straight falling with no limbing or brushing. I have the Hoe to rake for me. I run it like that for 2 weeks before I fixed them both together. It had a split in the intake that I could burry my index finder to the middle off the second knuckle. That saw was a mess inside. Now thats fat....and lazy

    No..fat, stupid, and lazy

WTF do they expect for $85 an hour

Just went out to the shop to check where it was and I’m 1.5 out. I’ll squeak it in a little bit and try it out in the morning we got to go get some firewood.

I went up and let Steve try it at the shop and made some cuts it was running good and I actually had a good chain on it. I kept worrying that I was going to hit the log in front of it. Lol

I know it’s not a 6100 but I figured a method with my ported 6400 and 7900. I use the tach to tell when it’s bumping the rev limiter then lean it 1/4 turn past the limiter and adjust if needed after that cutting with it. That usually gets me pretty close with them.

I hate limited coils on most builds.
The Simonized 372 work perfect with the Looper style piston at the limiter.
I had a saw that had the oversized pro safety dog on the outside would vib so bad it would go into a harmanic sound. Finally it snapped off. That's just gross dealing with that 1500 - 2000 times a day.
F* that! I mean you are getting punished at the end of the trigger and not getting rewarded. It's like the elevator doesn't go All the way to the top. Who cares what it does in the wood at that point. The carpet has to match the drapes.
