Evening fellas! Thanks to Homemade! It worked like a charm today! Let the splitter warm up then made the adjustment, took about 3/4 turn to get it work perfect. Split about 1 1/2 cord of Ash and stacked it today. Finally getting to be my kind of weather, just need a good frost to kill those fugging mosquitos.
The bolt the arrow is pointing to should be the way to set the kick out pressure. Should be held in place with a jamb nut. Turn it in 1/2 turn or so until it holds. If you turn it too far in, it won’t kick out when the cylinder bottoms out on return.
Make all adjustments when the oil is warm.

Them noodles were still damp.
Good evening smellers. Worked on the splitter all day, replaced the valve and welded the cylinder again, the splitter is done split, literally, welded the cylinder twice and watched a fresh part open up and split. Not going to chase it any further.
Can you replace the cylinder or going to need to search for a complete splitter?
Speaking of "Still Damp" drove home tonight through a mix of snow and rain
Hooray SNOW!
Considering I only saw 5 mosquitoes all summer I am not a fan!!!
