if the ms660 clone is a 25:1 fuel ratio, but uses or is completely interchangable with all stihl parts, why could you not you use 50:1 fuel? what would it take to make it use 50:1 fuel.? stihl carb, or maybe bearings, or what?

You can run the same ratio in any saw. I run 40:1 in all of mine.

Ditto, I have built 3 660 clones, and run Saber at 40:1 in all of them, just like in all the rest of my saws.

My 1122 plan. Only run 50-1 with H1R and a few others. 40-42 to 1 with dino or blends. All my big saws get 35-1 on regular dino. Running SuperTec syn at 40-1 this spring for testing.

32 oz = 1 qt. So, I buy fuel mix by the quart and divide it by 5. One fifth of a quart then goes into an empty 2-gal container that I next fill with gasoline.

2 gal = 256 oz. So: 256/(32/5) = 40 to 1. That's what I use and my saw engines seem to love that fuel mixture.

Oh, and BTW, I now have two MS660's, one MS661, and an 064 AV that might outrun them all. Maybe it's time for me to start a logging business.

thanks to everyone for your input, will try 40:1 with stihls gray bottle ultra oil. do not know how good it is, I only know they also have the orange bottle also. really don't know what oil to try, so many choices out their.! by the way, is their a stihl 460 clone kit out their, not a 440.
