If I have a version one or two 261c-m ,is it possible to upgrade v-3 by upgrading to new 3.0 version carb ? Do I also upgrade coil and flywheel?

Should just need a coil. Maybe swap to the white solenoid, get the kit with the orange filter and fuel line.

Guess the question is why? Is something wrong?

I live in Colorado (sawing typically at 6000-7500’ asl) and fix a lot of 261Cs and 362Cs. On hot days the older ones can give a lot of problems. Latest coils seem to cure this. I’m convinced that the algorithms in the old coils didn’t lean the carb enough for high & hot conditions.
