IMG_0101.jpegMake an offer guys and it’s yours, shipping will be calculated when I receive your address I did a Leakdown test, no leaks, cylinder not scored, there’s some carbon scratches on piston, you cannot even feel the the scratches, but the ring where the scratch is, looks to be a little pinched. If you want more pictures request and you’ll receive.

guessing youve never seen a 026 or 034 oem muffler?
Must be honest no I never seen or worked on one, I have seen many botched attempts to "improve" a muffler and at first thought that's what it was, then after I posted I seen the holes were too neat. I live to learn and happy to be corrected 👍 and running with that like it is would throw out sparks and not allowed in my part of the world even though it is wet wales

Pretty sure my 024s have screens in them, but it's been a little while.

What you are seeing is the outside cover of the muffler, the factory puts the holes in it like that and those holes do not go into the middle of the muffler.

It's so chips don't get stuck between the muffler and heat sheild.

Wizard is from UK I think he never see the kind of American style muffler that this saw has. The putter skin with holes is for heat isolation I think. All the euro saws I’ve seen never even have a place to put a fire screen in. I have a 064 straight from West Germany that has different style of muffler that the American sold ones.

Thanks everyone for educating me, it seems quite a few things are different over with you for whatever reasons. I see a lot using longer bars where here 18" seems plenty, I been using my 550xpg with 15" bar on everything lately before that it was 18" with a 60+cc saw with trunks up to 24" we definitely dont have the timber you have.
Every day we learn a little more ;)
