Anybody heard of these guys? I'm not sure that it's saw works, but it was monster something. Apparently they port saws for guys in the central Pennsylvania area and work with stahls saw shop. My buddy is looking at one that they did brand new so I told him I would see if I could find any information. Thanks a bunch guys.

You might like how it runs now..... but these guys saws have a notorious reputation of not lasting past the 20hour mark , hopefully you have better luck . They have had failures mainly with improperly chamfering the enlarged exh. Ports as shown in these pics an once the ring hangs it destroys piston an cylinder. They are also known for other shotty workmanship such as their welds on their muffler mods which are most times copied from other builders pictures online. If they are associated with a dealer of any kind it doesn’t speak such great volumes of the dealer their partnered with .

I know two guys that have 462 done by them. They seem to run pretty good. My one buddy got his 462 back in the spring and its still going strong. Other than that i have no useful information.

I should say i have not run a 462 stock to know if there was a good gain in performance. My buddies 462 pulls a 25" very well.

Guess your buddy got lucky, here’s some more of their handy work .... plating peeled an saw hung a ring . Proof is in the pictures listed below. Aparently from reading else where MONSTER WORK SAWS is notorious for failures like this . Plating peeling almost like they are not properly chamfering the exhaust ports correctly? Entire top end was destroyed ! If you look closely at one picture of intake side of piston it appears their was also something going on around intake port as noted by the uniform pattern on the skirt ! What they did to cause this to happen is beyond me! If anyone has any ideas please let me know. All in all the owner believes the saw has no more then 50 hours on this 390xp since it was bought about three months ago. He is a professional logger with a fleet of saws but was using this as his main felling saw. He is now wishing he spent his money with a more reputable builder where shotty work like this could have been avoided.

Not defending these guys. I have no dog in this. But I see several things going on in those pics. I wouldn't blame it entirely on the port work from what I can see from here. More pics might help but I'm not seeing any jms or iron horse halfassery going on.
