It installs with no problems, but freezes every time...

shouldnt , mine works ok
some times you have to hit the reinstall on it , as its not connected to the internet

The last non-expiring version of MediaCAT that's floating around should have language selection under settings. Whether or not it works is another story. I chose English for my installation and that obviously works. I notice that occasional error notifications seem to be in German, so there appears to be a multiple language engine somewhere in the release.

I have the contents of the DVD copied to a special sub directory.

Tinkered with it and now running it off my hard drive.
