That chain was too much for the stock saw, and was a poor example of what a stock saw could do.

I have a well broken in unit that I've been hanging on to for a better comparison.

Saw is a little lighter, I think the clutch guard is better flowing, performance is almost dead nuts even with the type I. Most notable improvement is the sealed air box. Much better then the type I Mike...

The only real difference between the oe and the ne inside the saw is the exhaust height. They raised the port 3°. Everything I have learned about this model tells me that was a mistake. It might show more power on the dyno, but in reality I think it just raised the power band too high for any real gain in the cut.

Cobby found good gains by adding some intake timing, and widening some ports. I think he advanced the timing too.

I'm not knocking the new design.....the improvements they made to the air box seal are very nice, and very well thought out.

I appreciate that you guys like the air box improvements, but I got no complaints with my VI, my filter stays good for quite a while, many time better than the 044 (but the 044 is just easier to clean). It is all a compromise!

The only one that ever really sucked was the filter on Dad's old 039. It was a good saw, but every other tank you were popping the air filter off to brush it off...

Great job on the saw Randy.

I see those numbers crying for more intake and raising the uppers myself.

Why are the mains opening after the secondaries?

Do they open symmetrically, or do the stock mains open on the exhaust side first?

Seems like a lot of work Randy.

Hello Mastermind ,

good job. The 362 looks strong.

would you prefer the new 362 CM or the Husqvarna 560/2 (or maybe the old 357) ? Both naturally ported .

I'm still a new 60cc saw for making money . The saw is used mainly in beech with a 18" bar.

thank you

Thanks for your quick reply.

So, if you were to compare all 3 Saws the 357 have the most power?
