What he said! It defintly will work as I have one on my hybrid that CFB ported for me!It will work. Even a 046/460/461 tank will work if it had to though not ideal

That is the oldest tank part number from stihl, nla, newest 044 tank part number (which is not orderable, NLA) is 1128 350 0844, which stihl subs forward again to 1128 350 0851 which is the current number for the flippy cap version for the ms440, just verified thru Stihl EBiz...the 0851 is in stock, at least at northeast stihl...LOLPart# 11283500800 I’m almost certain. But for some reason google claims 0801 . Maybe the 081 is later model 044/440 .
