It is important that you have your information correct before you come in and spread information that is incorrect or not true. I have two 346xp oe and both have a 45 stamped on them. We don't know if that 45 is for cc's, different supplier or a different part number. I don't know of the history of these saws before I purchased them, but I know they have oem parts on them and strong running saws. I would have appreciated the courtesy of contacting me via pm before you come into my for sale ad and try to discredit me. Prove to me that these are 353 piston and jugs just by a stamping.
45 is the bore size as in 45 mm

I worked and was in grad school with his nephew. Naaman's BBQ has great brisket don't care for the sides or the fact that they measure out everything but they have to maintain margins. No hard feelings, I'm done with it. Bluefish, I was aware that they chain was installed incorrectly before I even took pictures.

I don't think you have anything to apologize for.
If I was selling something on here I would make sure I had All my ducks in a row before starting a sales thread, including knowing if it was a frankensaw and making sure the chain was on right.
My wife is from Kansas City, I go to Gates and LC's when I am there.

That's awesome! It's a great barbecue town. Great steaks there to.

Best Brisket I've had. He sends me one in the mail every few months. I've not had the sides, never eaten at the restaurant. But have known Darby since before he opened it. The prim rib and short ribs are crazy good also.

No hard feelings here either.

So, what are you going to do with this saw? And, are you going to change your ad?

I sent you a PM and never heard back.

Here is what my other 99 346 looks like? It has a factory cylinder that has been ported.

The sale is still going on. The comment " I'm done with" pertained to something else.

I'd appreciate seeing a better picture of the serial tag, especially the top line.

It could be this is a 353 that had a messed up side cover/sticker that was replaced with a 346 sticker/side cover. Maybe a cheap used one off the eBay? Or, it could be a 346xp that scored the piston/cylinder and was replaced with a 353 cylinder. Maybe to save money? The 353 is a good saw, with a wider, more usable power band, but the 346xp has more peak power in the upper rev band and revs faster. In my experience.

Is it the 350 and open port cylinder so it wouldn't have transfer covers

I think the 350 came both ways, with the 44 m/m open port cyl & the 45 m/m closed port with the bolt on transfer covers & the concave piston top.
The piston was the only difference from the 353 top end, you can put the flat top 353 piston in a 350 & get a little more power.
