Hey guys please tell me what you think. This is for hard wood and I am converting a round filed to square. Using a small 6 sided triangle file and a granberg.

I ain't no square filing god, but Corey's cutter with the leading corner sticking out like an unsupported needle would not last one cut in the wood I cut. A good hardwood cutter needs shoulder support. Buy a single cutter next time you order chain to get a 'demo' cutter you can look at and strive to replicate. I know many change stock angles.....but there a good starting point. Need to walk before ya run.

Can you take a pic with the file in the cutter? What are you set at today?

Turn your file around so that your fileing outside in. That'll help you learn to freehand. I still say try 35 & 30.

The file needs to be rolled where the little side of it is up and down.
