We got a “jib” that goes on the pallet forks of the skid steer. Levi is making it telescope so we can get about 30’ with it..
Strap the peak of the truss and go.
Yep, that's what I've been thinking I need to make for the tractor.

There was some discussion on here a while back about the baby echo 3510...
They recently came out with a 41.6cc version I guess to replace the cs400, anyways I bought one the other day.....
It's 9.4 lbs, has great av, and the ergonomics are better than on the 3510 imo.
I haven't ran it much yet, so I'll have to report back later once I've abused it for a while.IMG_20230715_173836.jpgIMG_20230715_173842.jpgIMG_20230711_153523.jpgIMG_20230711_153647.jpgIMG_20230711_153643.jpg

Make it as long as you can.

And keep the weight as low as possible..

Lotsa “leverage” 25’ out there.
That's my problem, my tractor only has about 1500 lb lift right at the bucket, so not going to be almost anything left on the end of a boom with any length to it.

That’s why we use the skid steer.
That thing lifts a crap ton.

View attachment 384047anyone recall one o deez in childhood memory of younger siblings? I'm not that old!
My Grandpa strung two of those behind my older cousin’s airplane pedal car so Dale could drag his sister and I around the back yard. Both 2 yo.

The yard was brick paved IIRC. Common in south St. Louis.

@Hedgerow I told ya I'd get back to ya when I started hearing yields. My step dad's highest has been 20 an acre. Which is in line with a lot of people's yields. From what I've heard, averages are between 15 to 25 bushels an acre. Highest I've heard of is 35 an acre. They got a few rains others didn't, both last fall and this spring.

Overall, not good. Not good at all. Which was predicted.
