It still goes....lol.

I think it's made the mysterious clunk twice since I got done hauling outta that horrible place where the cedar was.....still no clue what it is though.
I can’t recall, was the noise coming from the rear end ? May it has a full locker on the rear end ???

Yes, it's coming from the rear end area.
I haven't checked to see if it's a posi or not.... been too busy driving it to investigate...lol

Anybody have any experience with a Husqvarna 545 mkII?
Not with the 545, but I think it's basically a de-tuned 550xp mkii.
Tom really likes the 550, he's put probably close to 50 tanks through it cutting cedar, pine, and some red oak.
I haven't ran it much, but the little I have it seems pretty angry.

Just going by the specs on paper, if I was buying new I'd definitely go with the 550 for a few bucks more.....but if we're talking used, it's all about how good the price is.

After a long run down the road the clutch discs in the vet’s posi will break loose with a sharp bang when you make a sharp turn.

And, if you turn onto a gravel driveway be prepared for the under steer. 🫨

Looking good boss!
Y'all need to build yourself one of these handy tractor man lift things...View attachment 384026View attachment 384024

We ain’t that fancy..

I just stick the bale tines in a pallet and tell Levi to hang on... lol

“Most” of the headers are up..

Got hot and ran out of waters.
Sent Levi to town for a few more boards. Try again this evening once the sun is behind the trees.

We wasn't that fancy while we were building our original barn....just used a pallet also.....but then we needed some extra height, so we spent 3 hours building the basket and now we're much more productive.
Not to mention, I was usually the guy on the pallet, and Sam (14) is not the smoothest machine operator.
The lift basket was well worth it for people like us with a bad construction addiction...

Do I see 2x4 purlins, and maybe double 2x6 headers?

Yes..
Double 2x6’s for headers
2x4 purlins.

Poles are 10’ center
Trusses will be 5’ centers.

You got a plan on how you're going to get the trusses up there?
We got a “jib” that goes on the pallet forks of the skid steer. Levi is making it telescope so we can get about 30’ with it..
Strap the peak of the truss and go.
