Morning midlanders!

Continue cleanup on aisle 026/260 and wait for parts.

Need resupply on foaming engine degreaser and mineral spirits.

We took flowers to the cemetery yesterday afternoon. What little was left as the heat has hammered the roses. [emoji37]

Good morning.
Carl, here's your Skyraider in the Heritage Flight.
A pic under the wings to show how many hard points it has to attach ordinance to. Enough to ruin a whole lot of bad guy's day in one trip.

I saw Levi today at Wal-Mart,I said why ain't you cutten wood,he said he had been cutten hedge all day.He also said it was to hot to cut today. He said the sap was running pretty good today. We were both looking at fishing tackle.Fishing sound's better than cutting wood today to me anyhow.

Yeah.. He helped me till probably 4:30 or so.
He went fishing, and I tilled the corn patch.

I held up in the house till that blazing sun got real low in the sky. It was tolerable then.

Split a big pile of ash wood today. Think some of it sat so long it was already dry.

Good idea to get that Ash opened up in a timely manner.
I've seen it rot in log form if the bark is on it.
It's one of my favorite firewoods.

Ash does not split very well when the rounds are this dry. The wood is cut to size. But not split. Been sitting there for a year now. Ash is my favorite wood for the gasification boiler.

Today is clean the shop day. Finally got rid of the last of the log splitter/reel mower parts.

Next project is a vacuum wood drying kiln. Already bought a 1500 gallon NH3 tank to use as a vacuum chamber. Already sold the running gear.

Good morning Gentlemen!
I have a high school robotics class coming on site for one of our projects today. They get a full tour of the high speed sortation system for online order fulfilment. I hope they show enough interest in how things work, that we can have a good time with some practical teaching, whether it be the mechanical/electrical side, or the software side. It has been a few years since I have worked with high schoolers...

I hope everybody has a great day!

@sawnami Do you see many (any) used sprinter passenger vans come through up there? I am looking for one, preferably 06 or older (pre dpf etc.) 10 passenger +
Our Mercedes Benz store beside us gets them in occasionally. I'll do a run through the lot and see if we have one.

Morning everybody. Gonna be another hot one today. Went to an auction yesterday and thought I was going to cook to death. Wanted to get a clean dolmar 116 they had, but it went for way more than I wanted to put in it. Wound up just getting a blown up 028 stihl in a box and a couple of old push mowers.

Might not be the right place on the forum for this, but what the heck. Has anyone tried porting a grass trimmer? If so, how'd it go?
I'm using shindaiwa t230 trimmers and they do great, but I got to thinking the other day,"it sure would be nice to have a little more grunt in the same weight trimmer". So, what ya think? Worth trying or a waste of time.

I know it can be done. Can't tell you about gains though. There are some ppl on YouTube that have "ported" weedeaters. But not near the quality of some of our saw builders I'm sure.
