That stick shift is so neat! I hope to find one one day. What are you needing, I can keep an eye out.Nice project. Best of luck with it.
I'm in the process of doing a 770GS stick shift
but I'm at a road block with a few missing pieces
And I started this project almost two years ago.
That's what I thought at first but not so bad after I found the R&R procedure in a manual. Check the ball drive torque before you get it together. Let me know if you need any info Adam. This is the part where the design of this saw goes total hunchback!View attachment 56458View attachment 56460
Yes sir! Check on all that. It sure is a pain! There should be a ball in every slot so if the motor stops in different positions
the starter will grab. The balls the cup and the drive part need to be clean and
dry or the balls will not fall and engage when you pull the rope.
ever find parts? im looking for a brake for mine got a cylinder from a 77 (same bore size) slightly different shape fits great, also have some parts from 1936 that fit originally used that cylinder but smaller size (it did run) new reeds still avaibleNice project. Best of luck with it.
