Also the bar adjuster hole is too small on stihl brand bars for the husky adjuster pin. Have to drill that bigger or grind material off the pin :(.

Ive looked and looked.... for you trying to understand... but all I can come up with,,,,it a husky mount, 36” prolly 11 tooth sprocket but it would seem it should be a hard nose..

I think GB bars would be be goodish and answer your email to your problem with the code...

Other than that some one said about bars and chains / fitment once the chain is over the bar. You should see 5 dl,, try it on a chain and bar combo yo know that fits..
I was thinking 6 dl not 5 or 7 but it has been a while and the number of pins on the rim/sprocket can change DL count

Be careful there, at least on my saws, adding the adapter and fitting a 36 from an 066 to a 395 required 3 more DL IIRC.

Maybe someone here can confirm that.
Confirmed

3/8, you havta add 2 or 3 dl using the Stihl setup with the adapter on a Husky

404, you havta add 1 or 2 dl using the Stihl setup with the adapter on a Husky

Pat, send me those 2 chains, I’ll loop them at 122, if that’s what you think will fit. It looks close

Thanks. It’s a amazying how something that should be simple can turn into a pain in the a$$.

Has been standard procedure for some time now.
Maybe a bar/chain combo can break the pattern of azz pain next time around.
Good luck with what you have in the meantime.

“When 36” is just a hair too short....” that could have been the advertisement for this bar.

For the weights and measures crew it’s a little heavier than a 36” ES. I guess it’s a solid bar and not a laminate EAEFD88B-D3DC-473A-8D83-F3A93890D771.jpeg7AF2A3CD-7B86-4976-80FE-3B8A0AFEDE14.jpeg

I don’t see anything that had the same numbers. One was close View attachment 189334

If I had the chain that was on it that would be easy. I was given only 24” chains.

I thought those nice guys at GB would be helpful ..

I emailed from there web page on Friday Eve UK time. This morning (Monday again UK time ) I get a reply from
gary.green@gbforestry.com.au

Maybe worth following it up and sending him a pic.

It just seems long for a 36”. Here’s my Stihl for comparison. The Stihl is the bottom picture. View attachment 189335View attachment 189336 Here’s a 114dl on it View attachment 189338View attachment 189339 it’s a lot longer than 114
Visually looking at the top pic with the 114 chain; imaging splitting the chain at the bottom and putting it in the grove probably then the top pic looks like it would have an extra drive past the bar length.
The next pic seems it would be even to me. Then add on 6DL
I am coming up with 120 then 119 dl
Looks like it's 2.75" longer.

At three inches will get you 8 more drivers
The math gets us to 21.33.

So looks like it would take 21 or 22 by the math. Providing the bar widths are equal.

Best way is adjust it all the way in then put the 114 dl on the power head end.

Finger tight the cover and pull the slack with one hand and eyeball the 'drivers' (rivets) across the width so they are even and scribe or tape one side of the bar between the rivets (centre dl)

Tape your driver and the one opposite? or hold them in one hand and pull it off and count them up.

Now count your dl from the tip down to your line * don't count the line twice.

Now you will have your answer

Probly cuz you had a 7 tooth on the 66 and a 9 tooth on the husky, lol.

Really though, I’ve only noticed 1 dl difference from Stihl to husky. There’s always exceptions though.

Confirmed

Under dispute Kev...lolz.

That's weird a few of you guys have found that to be? The only travel you lose on a Cannon adapter is about 1mm between the bar top slot and the stud to convert to 390/372 for 3/8. You can hand file a mm out of the bar slot top slot or the adapter and it's a wrap. Then you can run 105/106 dl for 32" or 114/115 for 36"

First time I used the Stihl lite and a adapter it was a 32" and I didn't know to order 106 dl. It worked out, I just bent the bar and rolled it on. Maybe that was pre-stretched Stihl chain. So I wasn't any wiser to it. A month later I bought 2, 36" Stihl lites with Oregon chain at 114 and I put my knee into it and tried to roll it on. They didn't even seem close.? WTF???
driver count checks out?? 105 works on my 32 so why aren't these working. Maybe I didn't try hard enough ... it's gotta work.
Put the knee into 'er good and rolled on the chain and let go and it sat there in a bow...lol For the sake of a mm.
It was a little hard to get back off.
Nothing like doing it with an 18" bar and getting it stuck half on and you jam you adjuster with the pressure.

Length of bar travel per extra driver = Pitch.
So 3/8 ( .375" ) you have .750" between drivers. (or three rivets)
In order to move the bar out .750" then you would need 2 extra dl. one on the top and one one the 'bottom chain'

Two dl is a whole long ways. without going to a bigger sprocket.

I am not familiar with the 404 adapters at all??

Edit ^ adapter for widest Stihl bars I mean.

Not really under dispute bud, just two different experiences, probably due to any number of differences between the B&C's, rim drive, etc ..........

I added one DL to a 36" 404 setup with an 8 tooth, coming off an 066 and going on a 395, still didnt fit, so the second DL was added.

I also had to add 3 DL's to a 404 setup running an 8 tooth with a 50" B&C to get the chain on. B&C came off a 661

What is a 404 adapter ?

What is a 404 adapter ?

IDK...under dispute!

Yep getting a little too loose with the writing their.

I guess I associate the widest stihl mount (14mm?) with 404 for some reason?

Definitely no relation there.
There must be a different adapter from the largest mount though. That is what I am not familiar with.

My CN40 is an internal roller nose tip. 3003 or D025. 117dl 404 7 or 8P
It will run HN with 128dl of 3/8. Came that way chewing on the bar.

41" to the forward mount slot.

404

It has to be a 42" bar. It wears an odd drive link no doubt.

I have a 36" 3002 mount ES that wears 108dl of 404. Huge tail and a fat bar.

There is a 3002 adapter and a 3003 adapter, the 3002 adapter is larger than the 3003 adapter.

It might have been a mix up in the factory with chainsaw bars and harvester bars
I gotta feeling there is a 38” harvester bar around the 122 DL

A couple of years back I had a gentleman from an African country who was buying up old bars and I supplied him with a huge amount bent straight
All gauges and I had a few old long harvester bars and he was filling a container
